Field trip: Corno do Bico Protected Landscape - December 6

Spanning approximately 2,200 hectares, the stunning Corno do Bico Protected Landscape serves as a natural sanctuary within the Iberian Massif, featuring rich biodiversity that includes oak forests, the Iberian wolf, and several endemic and threatened species. Its mountainous terrain supports diverse ecosystems and reflects a long history of human interaction with nature.

Participants will have the opportunity to explore this ecological treasure along its numerous hiking trails, where breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and mountains await. The trip also includes a visit to the Corno do Bico Environmental Education and Interpretation Center – CEIA, where lunch will be provided. Please be aware that this region can be very wet, especially during this time of the year. We strongly recommend bringing waterproof and warm clothing, however, in the event of heavy rains, activities will be relocated indoors at the Center.

Please note that capacity for this field trip is limited, and pre-registration is required to secure a spot.
