Vila do Conde

Quinta do Crasto, an old farm and agricultural museum recently converted into a Biodiversity research laboratory: CIBIO- Associação BIOPOLIS, University of Porto, Portugal.

Shuttle bus from Vila do Conde to the Venue and return

There will be a daily bus to take the participants from Vila do Conde to the Venue in Quinta do Crasto. The timetable is shown in the Programme. The Bus will start from the Hotel B&B and then stop in a Bus stop in the centre of Vila do Conde (near the market, we will later send coordinates. This stop is within 5 to 20 minutes walking distance from any hotel/hostel in Vila do Conde.

If you come daily from Porto, you will have to come by Metro and leave in Mindelo station where the bus will pick you to the venue.

The opposite trajectory will be taken at the end of each conference day and leave you in the same points.

How to get to Vila do Conde

By Metro – from Porto
Porto has a direct metro connection to Vila do Conde. Take Line B (red line) toward Póvoa de Varzim. Get off at “Vila do Conde” station, and you are less than 1Km from the town centre where most hotels are placed. There will be a shuttle (bus) to take people from the centre to the venue and back everyday.

By Plane
From Porto Airport, take

Metro Line E (purple line) and get off at the station “Verdes”. From there, transfer to Line B (red line), toward “Póvoa de Varzim” and exit at “Vila do Conde” station.

By Car
To drive to Vila do Conde, take the A28 highway, which is easily accessible from Porto or the airport. Head north on the A28 towards Vila do Conde/Viana do Castelo and take Exit 15, signposted “N206 – Vila do Conde”.

Uber and taxis are also available at the airport.

Transport from Vila do Conde to the conference Venue in the conference days

A free shuttle will be available from the town centre (5 to 20 minutes walking distance from the hotels mentioned above) to transport everyone staying in Vila do Conde.
